In Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch there are four old tube trains sitting on top of a Victorian warehouse which are part of a not for profit art and cultural space by Village Underground.
The warehouse is located by the viaduct that used to lead to the old Broad Street Station next to Liverpool Street, which closed in 1986. Most of the railway viaduct was demolished, but a small piece remained.
Village Underground rent out the trains to various people such as artists, freelancers, designers, start-ups, etc. As the tube trains are working offices, the space is not open to the public.
