Rotherhithe
Caryatides of Rotherhithe Old Town Hall
These Caryatides sit in Southwark Park. Originally flanking the main entrance of the old Rotherhithe Town Hall, later a library. The building itself was extensively damaged through German bombing during the second World War and had to be demolished. They remained there until 1974 when they we moved to the Heygate Estate, off the New Kent Road.
When the Estate was demolished they were relocated in 2009, to Southwark Park where they remain today.
